The annual Guam Society of America, Inc. Chamorro Night Event will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Fort Belvoir Community Center, 10300 Taylor Road (Bldg 1200), Fort Belvoir, Virginia, 5pm-10pm.
As of October 3, 2024, less than 100 tickets are available through October 18, 2024 – or until ticket sales reach the capacity for the event (250 attendees). Subsequent updates will be sent via email to provide status of remaining tickets – you can also reach out to the event Committee at (202) 525-9021 or via email at chamorronight@guamsocietyinc.org.
This is a great opportunity to join or renew your Society membership, and encourage friends and family to join the oldest Guam Club in the United States. Come out and join the Society for a fun-filled night of entertainment, Guam cuisine, and fun!
The 2025 Guam Society Cherry Blossom Princess and Junior Princess will be announced at the event. There will performances by Håle’ Para Agupa’ (HPA), 2024 Cherry Blossom Princess Bella Mansapit, and more!
Chamorro cuisine/dish donations are welcomed; for desserts – please ensure they are Chamorro desserts. Please contact the Committee to see what items may be needed if you plan to bring a dish.
Interested in being on the Committee or just want to help out? Contact Guam Society Vice President Ed Yanger at vicepresident@guamsocietyinc.org
Access for the Event: Unfortunately, the deadline for being placed on the base access list has passed (Tuesday, October 1, 2024).
For those who missed this suspense date, they will need to get an access pass in person with a Trusted Traveler sponsor (must be with you at the Visitor Center or the gate). If the Visitor Center is closed, the Security Guards at the gate will process visitors – use the commercial/visitor lane at the gate. Access to Fort Belvoir is through the Tulley and Lieber Gates only. Please visit the Fort Belvoir website for current/additional information on base access.
Sponsors must have an Active-Duty Military, Retired U.S. Military, or Dependent Military (18 years of age or older) ID Card or a DoD Civilian CAC Card.
