Santa Marian Kamalen Nightly Novenas

This is an annual program with the Guam Society of America, Inc.   Nightly novenas are held in various Guam Society members or friends of the Society homes.   As an extension of our culture, history and traditions on Guam – these novenas allow for gatherings in recognition of Santa Marian Kamalen and culminates in the final novena and mass said at the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.   A replica of our island patroness is enshrined in the Basilica representing our island and our people in the Nation’s Capital.   

Traditionally, Guam Society members or friends of the Society hosting these novenas will have a potluck gathering after the novenas and all are welcomed to attend. Rotation of the novenas allow our members, their families and friends the flexibility to attend novenas that are close to where they live or to join in the pilgrimage in each home, further demonstrating our island culture and our ability to gather as a people in celebration of Santa Marian Kamalen.  If you plan to attend the novenas in person, please contact the host so they will know how many people will be attending.
